So I’ve decided to jump back into the crazy, tangled web of webcomics in hopes of bringing you guys some more stuff that you’ll enjoy. I’ve had some time to discover a few new comics that seem to be flying under the radar and deserve more attention, and some others that have quite the cult following but seem to have been missed by a number of webcomic aficionados. Gunnerkrigg Court by Tom Siddell is the latter.

It’s one that I found through a good friend of mine from Victoria. Now I’ll definitely admit that at first glance I thought it was going the be cheesy and tweeny and all of sudden people were going to start to sparkle and then Anthony Chapman was going to the have to get all Wayne Brady on somebody. But rather then dismissing it outright, I decided to at least give it a try and see where it went.

Where it has gone so far is to an extremely fun world with wonderful artwork and some great characters that I’m finding myself very attached to. This hasn’t inspired Harry Potter levels of obsession… yet… but I’m definitely always happy to see the updates in my google reader.

Now let me tell you how this isn’t Harry Potter…

So I noticed (out of a begrudging sigh from someone eye shuh-l not mention) that I started this whole webcomic review with rom-coms. In a pitiful attempt to regain the semblance of masculinity I swear up and down I have to any girl blind enough to sleep with me, I now present to you something more closely resembling a “proper” webcomic. Let the battle begin.
