So as many of you have probably noticed, the site has been stagnant for a while. All that will be explained in the upcoming Epic Default Podcast which we are recording tonight. Essentially, we are going to be transferring power…and servers tonight. So the site may be down for a little. But when we’re back, things should start updating more regularly.

I know you’ve heard that before, but I will no longer be in control of the site anymore…so, like McDonald’s used to say, it could happen.

Welcome to stream HQ for our participation in Extra Life! This is a 24 hour gaming marathon to benefit pediatric cancer research at the Texas Children’s Hospital, a world class facility that not only is a leader in pediatric cancer research, but strives to provide top notch service to families with sick children at little to no cost.

For the last few months, we have been asking, pleasing, and down right yelling at you to donate. Now is the time to do our half of the deal. But! This doesn’t mean that you still can’t donate. Go here to give your money to a great cause, then sit back, relax, and enjoy us screwing up our sleep schedules for the next 24 hours. It’s okay, because, well, it’s for the kids!

Our own Snifit has thrown down the gauntlet. With our team a measily $1 away from breaking the $1,000 mark for Extra Life, and him being $8 away from reaching his goal, he has come up with an offer.

The person to get him to reach his goal gets to choose a song. Snifit will dance to that song…LIVE…tomorrow on our stream.

But, he doesn’t stop there. If he can make it to $250, he will dance to not one, not two, BUT THREE SONGS…all your choice lucky person who put him over.

So do the math, we can get him to dance to FOUR songs tomorrow. So you know what you need to do. Click on his picture above to go to his individual page and get him to those goals.

EDIT: Ty1012 has pushed Snifit over his goal, and has chosen his song. Ladies and gentleman. Snifit will be dancing…to…THIS!!

Just our luck that the drunken podcast would be the one to break our streak of problem free recording sessions. Amongst other things, Skype was laggy as hell, and we completely lost Tony’s track…which is why you hear the echo occaisionally. But did we care? No! We were drunk!

As most of you probably know (if you are subscribed to the podcasts that is *hint hint*) the return of Extra Life is upon us!! For those of you who knew about us around this time last year know the crazy awesome that is this event. Well this year, we want to do it bigger.

EDPHQ is setting up four tv’s and have two computers at the ready.
We’ll be running two streams so not only can you watch what is going on on the screens, you’ll be able to constantly keep an eye on
us to make sure we don’t crash like we all almost did last year. (Yes,
Anthony…we know you survived the full day, jerk.)

Not only that, but EDP West will be joining us in the form of Oz, Snifit, and Twinkie as well as EDP Canada with brand new member to the staff, Delerat. Like last year we will have the list of games posted so you guys can tell us what to play next should we need it, and this year, we will also show our compendium of gamertags, PSN ID’s, Friend Codes, and Steam ID’s for all to see!!

All of this will go down on Saturday, October 17th starting at 10 AM CDT. (Sarcastic Gamer suggests 8 AM in your local timezone, but we’re not morning people). But you can do your part to make this year’s event bigger before we even get it off the ground.

Clicking on the banner to the right on this page (it looks like the picture at the top of this article) will take you where you need to go to either donate to the cause, or join us in our fight against pediatric cancer. Clicking the donate button on that site (not the one here) will allow to give us any dollar amount you wish per hour of our ordeal. Clicking “Join Our Team” will take you to the sign up page where where you can become one of the crazies.

All this is for a great cause. Texas Children’s is not only a leader in cancer research, but it pledges to always treat any child at little to no cost no matter what, of any illness. That alone should open up your pocketbooks.
