Ok, so one might ask what madness do I speak of. Well this preposterous insanity will partially involve participating for the 4th year in Extra Life, a 24 hour gaming marathon to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This is a great cause and I have a ton of fun helping to make this a wonderful event.

What I need from you guys though is your support. YOU CAN TAKE THIS LINK TO MY PAGE and you can donate whatever is possible to help out this great cause.

But you’re probably saying to yourself, “Wait, do I actually get anything in return for my support other then the self-satisfaction of doing something that helps children in need?” and “Where does the madness come into the equation?” Well I’ve got that answer wrapped up in a neat little package that I think everyone will enjoy.

Last year I took the approach of subjecting myself to ridiculousness upon reaching certain donational goals and it went quite well. Particularly combined with the fact that the whole thing was streamed so people could see it live and add commentary as I did said crazy stuff.

Well with this in mind I’ve stepped it up a few notches and come up with a new list of goals and associated silliness that I will undertake!

•  Upon reaching $100 – I will play Techno Kitty Adventure for an hour while listening to dubstep

•  Upon reaching $200 – I will play Kaizo Mario for an hour while Nyan Cat is playing in the background

•  Upon reaching $300 – I will play Xbox Kinect for an hour… while wearing a Cookie Monster outfit.

•  Upon reaching $400 – I will be playing a fighting game for an hour… using a DDR pad. We will hopefully have two DDR pads so we can play versus on mutliple DDR pads.

•  Upon reaching $500 – I will play Halo online for an hour… while riding a stationary bike.

•  Upon reaching $600 – I will play Hello Kitty online for an hour. That’s right, for all the crud I gave Dylan last year, he can throw it right back at me while I subject myself to this horror.

•  Upon reaching $700 – I will play Xbox Kinect while wearing a Cookie Monster outfit for an additional hour, but I will be playing the dance games. That’s right kids, the Cookie Monster will Soulja Boy (though I cannot claim to be able to do it well).

•  Upon reaching $800 – Rewind Time! I will repeat one of the tasks previously mentioned as selected by a randomly chosen donor.

•  Upon reaching $900 – Rewind Time times 2! I will repeat one of the tasks previously mentioned (though not the one repeated for the $900 challenge), but this time for 2 hours.

•  Upon reaching $1000 – Request Time! I will randomly choose one person who donated to choose a task for me to do. This has to be a game, has to involve something I can actually do, and cannot involve nudity… but other then that I’m pretty much game.

I have the crazy tasks to be done, so you just have to throw down the money and watch this little monkey dance! We’ll have live streams on this site on October 15th, the day of, and I’ll be all performing like a crying circus clown for all you kids out there. Also, even if you can’t contribute much, whatever you can give will really help a lot and it all goes to a great cause.
