You Draw, I Read, We Enjoy: Girls With Slingshots
by ClickPicTony on Jun.15, 2009, under Rants
I’ve heard a lot of different webcomics tossed around as ones that I should start reading. Being the electro-lit fiend that I am, I always welcome suggestions for more webcomics to check out from friends, acquaintances, people who write me death threats dripping with disdain for my life and anything I’ve written, and the occasional hobo hanging around downtown (which really just leaves in awe for hours pondering which characteristics distinguish a webcomic as pro-hobo). But of course when your girlfriend starts bugging you about a webcomic that you should start reading, you really shouldn’t wait too long before you get started reading. Otherwise, you better be ready to suffer the consequences of your actions.
It took me 6 months before I got started to read Girls With Slingshots and thanks to the fine doctors at Houston Memorial Hospital almost all of my internal organs are still intact. But hey, at least I’m reading it now… right?
Epic Default Podcast, Ep. 16: E3 Special
by Jonny Nero on Jun.14, 2009, under Rants
I love it when a podcast comes together. Jonny Nero, ClickPicTony, Jake Prime, and LordThanda (Dave Palay from rapodcast.net) sit down and review that little confrence that passed last week. Then Ryan Miller joined us to finish up near the end. We were in a strange mood while recording this episode.

Epic Default Podcast, Ep. 15: Amy Okuda
by Jonny Nero on May.28, 2009, under Podcast, The Epic Default Podcast
It’s finally here! After a month and a half of editing, and fixing, and even more editing, it’s finally ready for human consumption. Amy Okuda from the Guild joins us in this episode as we talk about Rock Band Beatles, a keyboard pillow, Demigod, and Amy’s life on the Guild. Then Tinkerballa stops by with her usual pleasant personality. Please be warned that this show is very, very dated.

Sucking Away My Brain
by Caelesto on May.27, 2009, under Rants

This was me just a few moments ago
For the past couple of hours I’ve been fighting with Windows XP to convince it that I am, indeed, using a standard US-English keyboard. I’ve finally managed to make it work, but I thought I was going to lose it while fixing the problem. This morning I had everything fixed except my apostrophe key, which would produce a tilde when I pressed Shift (Just so you know, when one presses [ Shift + ' ], one should receive [ " ] not [ ~ ]. How many plastic guitars do you have?
Plastic Drum Kits?
How about a Balance Board?
DDR Mat?
A plastic Skateboard, Light Guns, 2 turntables and a microphone?
Hopefully not, because this is not where it’s at.

Jonny here. The most recent episode of the Epic Default Podcast has been on life support for the past month, but I think it is now stabilized and it should be out sometime this week. To tide you over, head over to http://www.rapodcast.net and subscribe to their podcast. I did a guest spot with them for episode 100.
We still have a lot of dust flying behind the scenes here, but we’re getting close to being able to update regularily once again in the near future. Thank you for your continued reading.
Oh…and go see Star Trek. You’ll thank me later

Another Bright Idea from Caelesto
Well well Epic Default Readers, we meet again. It’s been a long time since last I updated, and I am completely remorseless. Nah I’m only kidding, I feel bad, but you shouldn’t because now I’m back for revenge! Er, I mean…I’m back to tell you about all the super cool things I’ve found while browsing around online. Yea, that’s it. Now typically I’d give you the lowdown on things you should do while at work (rather than working), but unless your admin gave you shell access and allows you to install thingies on your work PC, you won’t have much luck playing with LiteStep. On the other hand, if you’ve got free reign over your computer or you’ve got a laptop handy, spending the day modding your GUI is well worth the effort. Or, you know, you can just wait until you get home
